Onigamiden , animated by Studio Pierrot , was announced in early March 2010 release tentatively scheduled for October last year. Finally, the film hit theaters in Japan during Golden Week , on 29 April.
Based on the novel of the same name, Takada Takafumi original , Onigamiden revolves around battles between demons (oni) and humans about 1,200 years ago during the Heian period. The director and screenwriter, Hirotsugu Kawasaki , led in 2005 the film Naruto: Naruto Gekijôban Daigekitotsu! Maboroshi no Chiteiiseki Dattebayo!.
